조화와 통합 지향 카운슬링을 위한 상담자 역량 탐색 = An Exploration on a Counselor's Competence in Performing Counseling Pursuing Harmony and Integration

This study aims to explore what is required to counselors to perform counseling pursuing ‘harmony and integration’. The research tasks are set as follows to achieve the research goal. First, what are major responsibilities and the job of a counselor shown in the results of job analysis? Second, what are the major competences shown in literatures required to a counselor? Third, what are the opinions of experts and counseling staff on the counselor's competence for harmony and integration? The major research results identified through literature review, interviews, surveys, and case studies are as follows. First, the major responsibilities and jobs of a counselor shown in the job analysis are personal counseling, group counseling, psychological test (assessment), education and training, counseling studies, and administration for counseling. Second, this study classified major competences required to a counselor shown in the literatures into three categories a theory-based competence group, a job performance-based competence group, and a competence group according to attitude/personal quality. The competence list of a counselor is represented in a diagram with a two-stage hierarchical structure which consists of competence group and competence element. Third, as a result to investigate the opinions of experts and counseling staff on a counselor's competence for harmony and integration, competences such as social responsibility as a counselor, profound understanding on the organization and human beings, self-reflection, and self-disclosure are emphasized. Lastly, this study suggests future tasks to do in order to establish a firm foundation to expand the scope of counseling and develop a counselor's competence for the demanders.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 ‘조화와 통합’을 지향한 상담수행을 위해 상담자에게 요구되는 역량이 무엇인가를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 설정된 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무분석 결과에 나타난 상담자의 주요 책무와 과업은 무엇인가? 둘째, 문헌고찰을 통해 나타난 상담자에게 요구되는 주요 역량은 무엇인가? 셋째, ‘조화와 통합을 위한 상담자 역량’에 관한 전문가와 상담실무자들의 의견은 무엇인가? 문헌고찰, 면담조사, 설문조사, 사례조사 등을 통해 밝혀진 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무분석에 나타난 상담자의 주요 책무와 과업은 개인상담, 집단상담, 심리검사(평가), 교육 및 훈련, 상담연구, 상담행정 등이었다. 둘째, 문헌고찰을 통해 나타난 상담자에게 요구되는 주요 역량을 이론기반 역량군, 직무수행 역량군, 태도․개인자질 역량군 등 세 개의 범주로 구분하였고, 상담자의 역량 목록을 역량군-역량요소 2단계의 위계적 구조로 도식화하였다. 셋째, 조화와 통합을 위한 상담자 역량에 관하여 전문가와 상담실무자들의 의견을 조사한 결과 상담자로서의 사회적 책임과 조직이나 인간에 대한 깊은 이해, 자기성찰과 자기개방 등의 역량이 강조되었다. 끝으로 향후 상담 영역이 더욱 확장되고, 상담자 역량이 충분하게 개발되어 수요자들에게 확고한 입지를 구축하면서 발전하기 위해서 해결해야 할 과제가 무엇인지 제안하였다.
