완벽주의 및 역기능적 진로사고와 진로미결정과의 관계 = The Relationship Among Perfectionism, Dysfunctional Career Thoughts and Career Indecision

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among perfectionism, dysfunctional career thoughts, and career indecision. Participants of this study were 360 college students sampled from the universities in Seoul and Kyeonggi-do. The Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, Career Thoughts Inventory, and Career Indecision Scale were used to measure perfectionism, dysfunctional career thoughts, and career indecision, respectively. Major findings of the study were as follows: First, significant differences were found among perfectionism, dysfunctional career thought and career indecision between male and female students Second, there also were significant differences between perfectionism and dysfunctional career thoughts by career indecision levels. Third, perfectionism was correlated with dysfunctional career thoughts. Fourth, career certainty was affected by personal standards, parental criticism, doubts about actions, and organization. Indecision was affected by parental criticism, personal standards, concern over mistakes, and doubts about actions. Fifth, perfectionism and dysfunctional career thoughts directly and indirectly influenced career indecision. The implications and limitations of the study were discussed along with some suggestions for the future research and counseling practice.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 완벽주의 및 역기능적 진로사고와 진로미결정의 관계를 살펴보고, 진로상담에서 내담자의 성격적인 특성과 진로의사결정과 관련된 진로사고간의 관계를 파악하여 진로결정을 돕기위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 연구대상은 서울 및 경기지역 4년제 대학 4개교에 재학중인 남녀학생 360명이었으며, 이들에게 다차원적 완벽주의 척도, 진로사고검사, 진로미결정척도를 실시하였다. 연구결과 다음의 사실들이 밝혀졌다. 첫째, 완벽주의, 역기능적 진로사고 및 진로미결정은 성별에 따라 부분적인 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 진로미결정 수준에 따른 완벽주의와 역기능적 진로사고의 차이는 완벽주의의 하위요인 중 부모기대를 제외하고 모든 하위척도에서 나타났다. 셋째, 완벽주의와 역기능적 진로사고 간에는 부분적인 상관을 보였다. 넷째, 완벽주의와 역기능적 진로사고는 진로미결정의확신성 및 미결정에 의미있는 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 완벽주의와 역기능적진로사고는 진로미결정과 확신성에 직간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과와 함께 본 연구의 의의와 앞으로의 연구방향, 그리고 제한점을 논의하였다.
