사회적기업의 지속가능성을 위한 지역사회자본 형성전략에 대한 이론적 고찰- 연결망 재구축과 지속가능성을 중심으로 - = A Theoretical Analysis on Social Enterprise's Formation Strategy on Local Community Resources –Focusing on Reestablishing Networks and Sustainable Development-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 경제발전과 사회자본간의 관계에 관한 기존 이론들, 그리고 자원의존이론 등을 이용하여 사회적기업의 성과와 지역사회발전과의 관련성에 사회자본이 어떠한 역할을 하는지를 탐색했다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 먼저, 고용을 통한 포섭, 네트워크 중재자, 지배구조의 민주화라는 지역사회네트워크 재구조화 전략을 통해 기업의 경제적, 사회적 지속가능성을 동시에 성취할 수 있는 다단계모형을 구축하고자 시도했다. 다음으로 모형을 바탕으로 2011년 본 연구진에 의해 실시되었던 ‘사회적기업의 지속가능성에 관한 설문조사’ 데이터를 분석, 한국 사회적기업의 실태를 살펴보았다. 결론적으로 말해, 사회적기업의 성과는 네트워크 재구조화 전략을 통해 지역사회내에 산재된 자원들을 어떻게 동원하느냐에 따라 결정되며, 사회적기업이 지역내 미시․거시적 수준의 네트워크를 복원하여 사회적기업 경영에 어떻게 효과적으로 이용하느냐에 달려있다. 사회적기업의 이러한 활동은 경제적으로 지역사회 발전에 기여할 뿐만 아니라, 네트워크 복원에 힘입어 지역 내 신뢰와 공동체의식 등의 사회자본의 재구축을 통해 지역과 기업의 지속가능한 잠재적 발전역량을 극대화할 수 있다. 또한 사회적기업이 보다 지속가능한 성과를 도출하기 위해서는 사회적기업에 관한 기존 지원정책이 사회자본 활성화 시각에 의해 변화되어야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research aims to explain social capital in terms of social enterprises’ achievement and to develop a causal model that links their performance with development of local communities. By doing this, it further targets to give theoretical implication on analyzing social enterprises’ performance and subsidy policy. This research examined current theories on relationship between economic development and social capital, and then analyzed social capital’s role in conjunction with social enterprises performance and local community development. In detail, reestablishment of local community network by pursuing a strategy which include inclusion through employment, network arbitrator, democratization of governance system thereby setting up a multi-level model that would achieve both economic and social sustainability. Next, based on multi-level model analyzed 2011 our data titled ‘Survey on Sustainability of Social Enterprises’ on current condition of social enterprises. The result of this research concludes that social enterprise’s performance is determined by its reestablishment of micro-macro level of networks in which will in This action of reestablishing network not only contributes to benefit local community but also maximize its own capacity to sustainable development of both community and enterprise.
