The purpose of this research was the development and application of a program for enhancing infants' attachment to teachers. In order to develop the program, extensive and thoughtful literature review was conducted followed by teacher-researcher discussion. The tentative model of the program had been implemented for 4 weeks and field-tested and revised. In addition, the final program had been implemented for 6 months to investigate the effect of it. For this investigation, fifty-eight infants and their teachers participated in this study. Research participants were divided into two groups: the experimental and the control group. Two instruments were used for data collection: one was Attachment Q-set developed by Waters & Deane(1985) and the other was the Infant Qualitative Rating Scale used in the NICHD Early Child Care Project. This research found that the program for enhancing infants' attachment to teachers has positive influences on infants' positive mood, sociability, positive engagement with teacher, and attachment to teachers.
