This paper aims to clarify the meaning of Benjamin`s ``Trauerspiel`` by concentrating on the concept of ``allegory`` and contrasting it to the concept of ``symbol``. This process of investigation reveals naturally Benjamin`s insight on baroque art. Moreover his conception of baroque art can be extended to the conception of art in general. And in the last part of the paper an argument is raised, which is brought about by an expected counterargument. If Benjamin`s conception of baroque art is extended to the conception of art in general, it means that artwork can`t avoid containing a mystical aspect which can not be grasped by human understanding. This mystical aspect implies an aspect of Aura, which generally is believed to be denied by Benjamin. But this paper suggests that we should reconsider the generally accepted concept of Benjamin`s Aura.
