지체장애인의 차별인식이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로 = Effects of Recognition on Discrimination on the Life-satisfaction of Individualswith Physical Disabilities : Focused on the Mediating effect of Self-Esteem

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 지체장애인의 차별인식이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향과 자아존중감의 매개효과에 대해 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 한국장애인고용공단 고용개발원에서 조사한 제 5차 장애인고용패널조사(Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled)의 패널 데이터를 이용하였다. 패널조사에 참여한 지체장애인 중 연구목적에 부합하는 614명의 자료를 추출하여 최종 분석 자료로 활용하였다. 이에 따른 주된 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 지체장애인의 지각하는 차별 수준과 자아존중감의 수준은 다소 긍정적으로, 삶의 만족도는 중간 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 차별인식은 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도와 부적 상관이 있었으며, 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 차별인식이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에서 자아존중감의 매개효과가 확인되었다. 도출된 결과를 토대로 지체장애인의 자아존중감을 향상시킴으로써 궁극적으로 삶의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 방안을 논의하였다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of recognition on discrimination on life-satisfaction of individuals with physical disabilities, and at the same time, to explore the mediating effect of self-esteem. To this end, data of the fifth Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled were used. A total of 614 responses were used to analyze except incomplete responses. The results were as follows.
First, the level of recognition on discrimination and self-esteem were more or less positive, and that of life-satisfaction was average. Second, there were statistically significant negative correlations between recognition on discrimination and self-esteem and between recognition on discrimination and life-satisfaction. On the other hand, there was significant positive correlation between self-esteem and life-satisfaction. Third, in affecting recognition on discrimination on life-satisfaction, self-esteem had mediating effects between them. Based on these results, practical approaches to improve the life-satisfaction of individuals with physical disabilities were suggested
