Along with the transition to a multicultural society, recognition and respect for different cultures has emerged as an important virtue. However, to exclude the values of the common and only to emphasize the differences could bring extreme value relativism and consequently tolerate the destruction of human dignity and hinder the communication for social integration and eventually could undermine the foundation of democracy. Therefore, in order that various cultures can communicate democratically and coexist peacefully, the area of commonality should be secured as well as diversity. In this study, desire that the human rights awareness of young people would interact with different cultures, which is the influence on the intercㅋultural sensitivity is tried to be verified by paying attention to the meaning of the universal values of human rights in multicultural societies. According to the analysis result, about the subfactors of human rights consciousness, it was shown that human rights sensitivity and human rights judgement were significant variables on intercultural sensitivity. These results imply that education about constitution like human rights and fundamental rights needs to be emphasized for the re-integration of democratic multicultural society.
