중학생이 지각한 부모 양육행동, 자아탄력성, 자아존중감 간의 구조 관계 = Relations among Adolescents’Perceived Parental Behaviors, Ego-Resiliency, and Self-Esteem

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 한국아동청소년패널조사2010 데이터를 사용하여 중학생이 지각한 부모양육행동, 자아탄력성, 자아존중감 간의 관계를 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 상징적 상호작용 관점에 기반하여 지각된 부모양육행동이 자아탄력성을 매개로 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 연구모형을 설정하고 주요변인 간의 관계를 구조방정식모형을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 긍정적 부모양육행동은 자아탄력성 및 자아존중감과 정적 관계를 나타낸 반면, 부정적 부모양육행동은 자아존 중감과 부적 관계를 나타냈다. 둘째, 긍정적 부모양육행동이 자아존중감에 미치는 직접효과 및 간접효과 모두 정적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 반면, 부정적 부모양육행동의 경우 자아존중감에 미치는 직접효과는 부적인 반면 자아탄력성을 통한 간접효과는 정적인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, Sobel 검증을 실시한 결과, 자 아탄력성은 긍정적 부모양육행동 및 부정적 부모양육행동이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 모두에서 매개효과가 나타났다. 청소년기 자아탄력성의 중요성을 중심으로 본 연구의 이론적, 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the relations among adolescents’ perceived parental behaviors, ego-resiliency, and self-esteem. Using the symbolic interaction perspective, the study constructed a research model in which effects of perceived parental behaviors on self-esteem were mediated by ego-resiliency. Then the study tested its structural equation model with the middle school student data in The Nation Youth Policy Institute (NYPI) 2010 panel survey.
Results showed that positive parental behaviors were positively associated with ego-resiliency and self-esteem, while negative parental behaviors were negatively associated with self-esteem. The study also found significant direct and indirect effects of positive parental behaviors on self-esteem. However, total effects of negative parental behaviors on self-esteem turned out to be non-significant. Finally, results of Sobel’s Z test suggest that the mediating effects of ego-resiliency are significant. Based on these findings, the study argues that educators should provide various supports that can promote students’ ego-resiliency during their adolescence.
