텍스트 유형별 구조 비교분석 - 수사구조이론을 기반으로 = A comparative analysis onstructures of text types

In this paper we tried to identify the text structures inherent to text types, and to examine the differences between structures of text types. Some previous theories about text structures such as van Dijk(1980) and Brinker(1992) lack in methodologies, and have no application to the practical analysis. Our analyses of text structures are based on Rhetorical Structure Theory (Mann & Thompson 1987), which has been used within the domain of computational linguistics. Specifically we dealt with two types of texts, i.e. a narrative text type and an argumentative text type. In this analysis, we chose the typical texts of each type, and presented structures with rhetorical relations. As a result, we could show that the text structures of two types are similar at the surface formatting, but are different at the semantic linking between text units.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

수사구조이론에 대한 개요는 이해윤(2007)에 기초한 것임.攀攀 수사구조이론은 Mann, Thompson 등을 중심으로 하여 텍스트 구조기술을 위한 프레임으로서 개발되었다(Mann and Thompson 1987). 이 이론은 텍스트 규모에 제한받지 않고서 텍스트 단위들 간의 관계를 기술하여, 전체 위계구조를 파악하고자 하였다.수사구조이론은 ‘관계 (relations)’과 ‘도식 (schemas)’으로 구성된다. 각 구성요소들을 간단히 살펴보기로 한다. 수사관계는 ‘핵 (nucleus)’과 ‘위성 (satellite)’으로 불리는 두 텍스트 단위에 적용되는 기능적 개념으로서 초기에 23 개의 목록으로 제시되어 있다. 이 수사관계들은 목적에 따라 독자가 그 관계를 인식도록 텍스트 생산자가 의도하는 데 관여하는 부류 (4)(a)와, 독자 측에 어떤 경향 (관심, 믿음, ...)을 증대시키고자 텍스트 생산자가 의도하는 데 관여하는 부류 (4)(b)로 구분된다.
