The research aims to investigate adult learner`s learning strategies in actual e-Learning process and its different features which may vary depending on learners` characteristics and courses` characteristics. This study took 2,971 learners who had attended e-Learning courses and was conducted in the methodology of online survey. Using the data, the learners` learning strategies were analyzed according to the various variables of learners and course characteristics. As a result, firstly the learners conducted learning strategies in the degree of over 3.0(perfect score, 5.0). The learners more actively used the following learning strategies among them; selecting, goal-setting, time-managing and monitoring. In contrast, the strategies related to the interaction were less used in the e-learning environment. Secondly, The result showed that features of learning strategies varies according to learner characteristics, such as gender, ages, and their educational background. Especially, learners who had more learning experiences in e-Learning showed higher degree use of learning strategies compared to those who had less experienced. It also revealed that the nature of e-Learning courses are influential factors for their learning strategies. Noticeable differences on learning behavior were found depending on whether learners took required, introductory courses or elective, advanced ones. It is recommended to consider these findings in developing and implementing future e-Learning courses.
