The tale titled as <A person who became rich and then drove the goblin away with horse blood> has its total 28 pieces of stories in <Korea Oral Literature Outline >. According to the examination of this tale based on its factors of causing laughter mainly with the confrontation between the dull goblin and the widower with the aspects as tricksters, it can be said that it arouses positive laughter for the reverse of the weak and the strong. However, this article started from the point that we can see another meaning of laughter by focusing on that this tale uses a type of ``making use of a goblin being friends with it`` and mainly examining the changes in the relationship between the widower and the goblin. First of all, in Chapter 2, we will see the relational changes between the widower and the goblin. The two characters are deficient in some way at each of their position. Meeting each other that can satisfy each other`s need, they form and maintain a favorable relationship. However, the unilateral selection of the widower whose need is satisfied disconnects the relationship. Based on that, this paper examines the point of this tale where laughter is aroused. Laughter is particularly more aroused when the relationship between the widower and goblin is broken. Also, the reason why laughter is aroused there is that the goblin who has various powers superficially is deceived by the widower who doesn`t have any power superficially, which exposes the dull aspects of the goblin plainly. Based on this discussion, in Chapter 3, the meaning of laughter in <A person who became rich and then drove the goblin away with horse blood> will be examined. The reason why the goblin gets deceived by a human being of the widower in the tale was mentioned earlier, and here the relational disconnection between the widower and the goblin is for the widower`s unilateral betrayal. Also, by figuring out the reason why the points arousing laughter are concentrated in the part where the relationship between the widower and the goblin gets broken, it has already mentioned that the true nature of the goblin is the betrayed goblin before being a dull goblin. In other words, this tale arouses laughter putting up the dull goblin to the surface who gets deceived by the widower who is a social weaker and hides the betraying widower and betrayed goblin. Thinking that the widower is a betraying character and the goblin is a betrayed character, the laughter aroused by this tale is for the change from a betrayed to a dull goblin. And behind this laughter, there is the materialistic greed and desire which all men have but do not want to admit
