The purpose of this study was to develop a training method that allows marksmen to best perform in competition and to examine the effects of this method. For the purposes to be accomplished, establishment of visualization, shooting-cue, and best shooting time was conducted among two trap shooters and two air gun shooters for 12 weeks. Then, coaches provided the athletes with the information above in order that they could adopt to the method. The effects of this method were examined quantitatively and qualitatively. In the results, stability of shooting, self-confidence, and awareness of this program were increased by visualization, simple shooting-cue, and adaptation to this program. These results suggested that this method that helps athletes automatically shoot and form a visualization of shooting seemed an appropriate program to enhance performance and records. Limitations of this study and future implications were discussed.
