청소년기 사회적 위축 문제의 발달궤적에 영향을 미치는 요인 : 발달-맥락주의적 관점을 적용한 탐색적 연구 = A Study for Developmental Trajectories of Social Withdrawal in Adolescence : An Exploratory Approach based on Developmental-Contextualism Perspective

Adolescence is the period which interacts with more wider situational and contextual social environments than previous one. In spite of the problem of the social withdrawal in adolescence’s seriousness and importance, there are few study to identify the various environmental influencing factors empirically. In that regard, this study that test empirically longitudinal changes and the factors of the social withdrawal in adolescence may be a significant one. Thus, this study examined the developmental trajectories of social withdrawal as well as its relationships with adolescents’characteristics in developmental- contextualism perspectives. A Latent Growth Modeling was used to analyze the 4 year (8th to 11th grades) longitudinal data from Seoul Child Panel Study. The study findings showed that a level of social withdrawal has increased across times. The adolescents in the lower level of depression and anxiety, the higher level of parent educational participation, and the more positive friendships scored the lower level of social withdrawal at the 8thgrade. In addition, the longer duration of residing in public housings and the higher level of depression and anxiety at the 8th grade influenced on the developmental change of social withdrawal across times. In sum, the results imply that the adolescents with social withdrawal should be intervened and prevented earlier at multi-levels of contexts.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

청소년기는 이전보다 좀 더 넓은 상황적이고 맥락적인 사회환경과 서로 영향을 주고받는 시기이다. 청소년기 사회적 위축의 문제는 그 심각성에도 불구하고 다양한 환경적 영향요인들을 경험적으로 검증하려고 한 시도는 거의 없다. 그러한 점에서 발달-맥락주의적 관점을 기반으로 청소년기 사회적 위축의 종단적 변화와 영향요인을 경험적으로 검증한 본 연구는 의미 있는 시도라 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 청소년기 사회적 위축의 발달경로를 파악함으로써 청소년을 둘러싼 상황적-맥락적인 환경요인들과의 관계를 잠재성장모형을 통해 분석하였다. 분석자료로 서울아동패널연구의 5차년도(중2)에서 8차년도(고2) 자료를 사용하였다. 분석결과 청소년기 사회적 위축은 우울·불안이 낮을수록, 부모의 교육관여가 높을수록, 또래관계가 긍정적일수록 사회적 위축의 초기값은 낮았다. 또한 영구임대주택 거주기간과 우울불안은 연령이 증가함에 따라 사회적 위축의 변화율에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년기 사회적 위축은 연령이 증가함에 따라 점차 증가하며, 다양한 영향요인들이 존재하는 것을 확인하였고, 이는 청소년기 사회적 위축문제에 대한 예방 및 개입 프로그램의 필요성을 보여주는 것이다.
