전문직종의 변화에 따른 전문가 사회의 특성 및 동향 분석 = Trend Analysis of Expert Society through Changing Profession

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the changing trends of expert society through transforming profession. To achieve the purpose, changing profession structure and quantity by International Standards Classification of Occupation was compared with USA, Japan, and Korea from 1958 to 2007. Also, it was driven mega trends of expert society based on the result of changing profession As a result of this research, profession of Korea improved 3.4 times before 1960, Total increasing rate was 2 times rather USA, and Japan. Quantity of profession was 1/7 of USA, 1/2 of Japan. And 4 major trends in expert society were drawn,① Accelerating increase and fractionation of profession's quantity,② Convergence of profession field,③ Next generation growth engine is a women,④ Brain gain and maintain.
Four specific recommendations for HRD policy in South Korea were suggested.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전문가 집단은 조직 및 사회의 성장과 발전의 원동력이다. 개인 차원에서 전문성은 평생고용가능성을 결정하는 중요한 요인이고, 기업과 같은 조직 수준에서 전문성은 차별화된 상품과 지식 및 서비스의 지속적인 생산을 가능하게 하는 조직의 핵심역량이며, 국가나 사회 차원에서 전문 직종에 종사하는 전문가의 양적 규모와 질적 수준은 국가경쟁력에 지대한 영향을 미친다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국 사회의 전문직업 집단의 특성과 실태 및 역사적 변화를 선진국과의 비교분석을 통해 추적하였다. 이를 위해 국제표준직업분류 체계에 따른 우리나라 전문직업의 분류의 변화, 선진국(미국, 일본)과 우리나라에서의 전문직업의 분류에 따른 전문인력 규모의 시대적 변화, 그리고, 선진국과의 전문 인력 규모 변화의 차이에 따른 미래 전문가 사회의 주요 특성을 분석하였다.
분석결과, 우리나라의 전문 직업은 1960년대에 비해 3.4배 증가하였으며 연평균 증가율이 미국과 일본에 비해 약 2배정도 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 우리나라 전문인력의 전체 수는 미국의 1/7, 일본의 1/2 수준이지만, 전문직업 종사자의 비율을 비교해보면 미국 21.1%, 일본 15%, 우리나라 19.8%로 비슷한 수준을 보이고 있다. 전문가 사회의 주요 특성으로는 전문직종 증가 및 세분화의 가속화, 전문직업 영역간 융합, 여성 고급 전문인력의 잠재 성장 동력화, 그리고 고급 전문인력의 획득 및 유지 등이 분석되었고, 이를 바탕으로 전문인적자원 육성 정책에 대한 방향과 시사점이 논의 되었다.
