    Police investigation units represent a knowledge-intensive and time-critical environment. Knowledge sharing is a key process in investigation. So, the communication of investigative police if very important to solve the crimes and arrest the suspects. Meanwhile, the extent of communication is up to the organizational culture type. In other words, the performance of investigative police units results from the organizational culture. The purpose of this article is to examine the links between the organizational culture type of police investigation units and the communication. Using the theoretical framework of organizational culture type(group culture, development culture, hierarchical culture, rational culture), which Quinn & Kimberly(1984) had proposed. The analytic results show that while the group culture and rational culture was high, development culture was low in the investigative police. Excepting the hierarchical culture, all other culture type affected on the internal and external communication of police investigation. Also, this culture type(group, rational, and development culture) affected on the partnership with investigative police.
