이주여성 디아스포라 = 국제성별분업, 문화혼성성, 타자화와 섹슈얼리티

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전지구적 분산거주 현상과 노동력의 국제이동이 활발해지면서 사회학계에서 다양한 유형의 디아스포라 논의가 활발해졌으나 아직도 젠더 이슈는 비교적 전면에 드러나지 않고 있다. 이 논문에서는 최근 들어 관심이 집중되고 있는 국내의 외국인 이주여성의 디아스포라 현상을 탈식민주의 페미니즘과 문화이론적 측면에서 분석하였다. 특히 국제성별분업 논리가 관철되고 있는 이주의 방식과 형태, 그리고 국내에 결혼배우자로서, 또는 노동자로서 이주하면서 경험하는 문화혼성성과 타자화에 여성의 섹슈얼리티가 상호 작용하는 방식을 분석하였다. 제3세계 여성의 타자성과 식민화에 주목해온 탈식민주의 페미니즘과 문화이론이 분석의 중요한 틀을 형성하였고 여성주체 형성의 주요 개념인 몸, 섹슈얼리티, 노동이 디아스포라 과정에서 어떻게 이주여성을 정체화(identify)하는지 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 이주여성 디아스포라 현상에서 한국사회가 보이는 다문화사회에 대한 사회의식 결여가 문화적 차이를 인정하는 데 있어 경직성을 보이고, 이로써 형성된 문화수용의 이분법적인 관점이 이주여성의 삶에 투영됨으로써 타자화가 더욱 견고하게 관철되고 있음을 확인하였다. 이주여성의 지구시민적 노동권과 문화교섭력이 보장되려면 현실적인 제도적 장치 마련에 병행하여 이들이 자신의 삶에 주체적 결정권을 가질 수 있도록 포용적인 사회의식이 형성되어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With the globalization the racial dissemination and the world-wide moving of labour forces increase very frequently and rapidly. Although the discussion about diaspora in the area of sociology has been occured actively, the gender issues on it have not been focused on a serious level. In this article the diaspora of female migrant in Korea has been analysed with the theories of postcolonial feminism and cultural theory. It is analysed, how international gendered division of labour has been accomplished in the mode and the form of migration, and how sexuality of female migrant from almost asian countries has interaction with the cultural hybridity and the otherness of women in the process of migration. In spite of various forms and purposes of migration, female migrant confront with the crisis of cultural identities and have been marginalized in korean society consistently, as workers in factories and as entertainers in night clubs, and as spouses in the international marriages. This analysis leads to the conclusion that korean society has to recognize the reality of multicultural social formation in the age of globalization, and that newly appeared multicultural situation requires tolerant social-consciousness.
