중도입국 청소년의 진로의식, 진로준비행동과 사회적 지원 실태 탐색 = An investigation into the condition of Immigrant youth`s career consciousness, career preparation behavior and social support

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to understand the career consciousness, and career preparation behavior of immigrant youth and the current social support to facilitate their career pursuit. The interview was conducted based on immigrant youths within school, under special assistance of organization, and those who are neither in school nor any organization. This study found that lack of career support is currently provided for immigrant youth although they demonstrated low level of career consciousness and preparation behavior. Furthermore, there was not a systematic connection between career consciousness, career preparation behavior, and social support. However, this study indicated that there is a possibility to improve the career consciousness and preparation behavior of immigrant youth if an adequate social support is provided. Therefore, there is a need to provide a systematic career support to immigrant youth in order to improve their capacity to pursue a career path. Future study should further investigate how to develop special career programs considering their cultural and social traits of immigrant youth.
