2002년 대통령후보 텔레비전 토론에서 나타난 수사학적 토론전략 연구 = 후보자의 설득적 공격과 방어전략 분석을 중심으로

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study analyzes debate strategies that candidates conducted in 2002 Korean Presidential Debates based on Benoit and Wells' rhetorical attack and defense model. The study investigates how attack and defense was expressed among candidates reciprocally, what were candidates' persuasive attack issues and tactics, and what were candidates' persuasive defense issues and tactics. And then the study tried to evaluate how effective each candidate's management of the debates was within persuasive attack and defense approach.
The study analyzes three televised presidential debates in 2002 held by the presidential debate committee. As a result, there are some differences of attack and defense as who leads debate or who were counterpart in. Also there are some differences of rhetorical attack and defense tactics that each candidates conducted, and it was verified what issues were used for attack and defense tactics by candidates. However, as a whole there were not enough clashes between candidates in debates. Also debates were not enough reciprocal but unilateral showing unbalance of the number of attack and defense among candidates. It shows that candidates tend to avoid responding counterpart' attack.
