A study was undertaken to assess the utility of the theory of planned behavior in the prediction of students' binge-drinking. Respondents were 385 undergraduate students. The results showed that it was only an attitude toward an behavior variable that had predictive power, but both subjective norms and perceived behavioral control had not contributed in the prediction of students' binge-drinking intention. Some variables not included in the theory of planned behavior were added to enhance the explanatory power of theory. Those variables were peer group norms, in-group identification, descriptive norms, moral norms, and past behaviors. Not as expected, the other variables, excluding moral norms and past behaviors, were not supported in predicting respondents' binge-drinking intentions. After all it was identified that the significant variables having predictive powers were attitude toward an behavior, moral norms, and past behaviors. Implications for the strategies of prevention of university students' binge-drinking were suggested.
