대학무용과의 교육과정과 취업에 대한 연구 = A Study of the Curriculum and the Employment of the Dance Department of Universities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

These days, the dance is identified as an art, as a means of education and as the part of life. The education of dance had been done mainly at schools past years. Now days the dance education is, however, supplied by the sport centers and the culture centers as well as schools. The dance extends its territory from sharing the art experience to the social program where normal people participate. To accommodate the increased demand of teachers for newly built general dance programs, the universities are to develop education program to fulfill the new demand of general education. This research will find out the problems of the present dance education programs in the universities and suggest the recommendations for the improvement of the present dance programs in the universities. The study on the employment areas of the graduates from the dance department and the curriculum of the dance department of universities in Korea show that the demand for teachers for general public is not fully considered in the universities. In stead, the education in the universities has the emphasis on the performance of art and the raising dancers only. To improve the environment of the dance society, this study suggests the recommendations in terms of the program, the facilities, the services, the education methods, and the policy for the dance education.
