재난피해자로서의 농촌 노인의 삶 - PTSD 증상의 해소과정과 해소요인을 중심으로 -|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 2005년 12월에 발생한 전북 고창지역의 폭설사고에서 재난피해를 입은 농촌노인들이 재난으로 인한 외상후 스트레스를 삶의 과정에서 어떻게 극복하면서 살아왔는가를 사례연구를 통해서 분석하였다. 재난후 재난피해를 당한 농촌노인들의 삶은 범주화 작업을 통해서 ‘위기 이전의 삶’, ‘위기시 및 위기 직후의 삶’, ‘위기 이후 현재의 삶’으로 나눌 수 있었다. 그들은 위기 이전에는 평온한 삶을 영위하고 있었으나 위기의 충격으로 인하여 많은 물질적, 육체적인 고통과 외상후 스트레스를 겪을 수밖에 없었다. 그러나 정부의 지원과 보상․융자, 가족들의 협조와 배려, 국민적 관심과 사회적 배려, 재난에 대한 신속한 대응조치, 강인한 인내력 등으로 PTSD 증상은 완화되거나 해소되어 세월의 흐름에 따라 체념, 망각의 길을 걷고 있었다. 정책적인 함의는 재난 후 정부의 신속한 조치와 지원, 가족들의 협조와 배려, 국민적인 관심과 후원, 재난 당사자들의 강인한 인내력은 물론이고, 스트레스에 대한 체계적인 관리, 심리지원서비스가 확충되고 보다 체계적인 재난관리정책이 필요하다는 점이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this case study, Author analyzed the solving process and factors of PTSD symptoms in the life of the aged farmer living in rural disaster area as a disaster victim of the Gochang Heavy Snowfall Accident 2005 in Korea. The life of the aged living in rural disaster area was categorized as the life of before crisis, the life of during crisis and immediately after crisis, the life of present after crisis. Before crisis they could enjoyed a calm ordinary life, But after crisis they forced to suffer a lot of physical and mental stress(PTSD). Their PTSD symptoms were gradually accepted and cured to be oblivion by the governmental support, compensation and loan, family member's considerate concern, national concern and social help, immediate countermeasures against crisis and the tenacious perseverance to overcome crisis. This thesis' implication is that systematic management of stress(PTSD), psychological support service, systematic disaster management policy are needed among with the governmental support, family member's care, national concern and social help, immediate countermeasures and the tenacious perseverance.
