      The purpose of this study was to develop and adjust learning materials to prompt creative problem solving in elementary school science. In this study, it was improved by classifying the learning materials composing programs to prompt creative problem solving into four components: finding learning problems, setting a strategy to resolve these problems, finding a variety of ways to solve the problem, and creating the practical plan. The learning materials are developed into the children's work sheet and the teacher's guide. The developed unit is Animal Features in unit 1 and Male and Female Animals in unit 2 in the subject of science in the 4th grade of the 2nd semester, in elementary school. The improved learning materials were implemented in 4th grade class, J elementary school which contains 410 students, located in Goyang city, Gyeonggi Do. The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, the developed learning materials in elementary school science were effective to improve the children's creative problem solving. Secondly, the developed learning materials showed little difference to improve the children's creative problem solving irrespective of sex, and were effective to all male and female students. Finally, this study offered has a proposal to find new ways to develop creative problem solving in the elementary school science.
