국가대표태권도시범단 명칭에 대한 정체성 연구 = Research for the Title Identity of Korean National Taekwondo Demonstration Team

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research started and was concluded from the result of analyzing the phenomenon that three different Korean Taekwondo demonstration teams using the same title called "National Representative" in both inside and outside of the country which confuses the public. The Taekwondo demonstration team of World Taekwondo Headquarters(Kukkiwon), the center of world Taekwondo studio, had numerous domestic and international performances with Korean Taekwondo Association when using the title "National Representative". However, Korean Taekwondo Association founded its own demonstration team in 2008, so the title that World Taekwondo Headquarters have been used should be corrected to "Gukkiwon demonstration team". World Taekwondo Federation is the organization representing 202 member countries, managing whole Taekwondo competitions of each continent, and holding international Taekwondo contests. Besides, the demonstration team of the organization is Taekwondo demonstration team of World Federation that pursue traditional Taekwondo and tries to adopt martial arts in order to demonstrate better performances. The demonstration team of Korean Taekwondo Association was founded in 2008 due to Taekwondo demonstrations. The team not only performs the traditional Taekwondo but tries to harmonize Taekwondo with performing art to make new demonstration culture rooted in the world, informing the excellence of Kukki Taekwondo and Korean culture and challenging continuously for broadening the cultural domain. For this reason, Korean Taekwondo Association is the only organization that can use the title " National Representative". Korean Taekwondo Association is the organization that selects and nurtures national representatives for the athletes representing Korea, so the Taekwondo demonstration team of Korea Taekwondo Association should be termed "National Representative".

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 태권도관련기관(국기원, 대한태권도협회, 세계태권도연맹) 3개 단체의 태권도시범단이 관행적으로 ‘국가대표’라는 명칭을 대외적으로 사용하게 되면서 혼돈을 주는바, 명칭에 대한 정체성을 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 세계태권도본부인 국기원의 태권도시범단은 초기 대한태권도협회의 국내활동과 해외파견 사업을 대행하여 국가대표란 명칭을 사용하였으나, 2008년을 기점으로 대한태권도협회에서 자체 시범공연단을 창단하였으므로 국기원은 ‘국기원시범단’으로 명칭을 재정립해야 한다. 또한 세계태권도연맹은 세계 202개국의 태권도 회원국을 대표하는 단체로서 각 대륙별 지역 태권도 경기를 관리․감독․주관하는 단체이다. 특히 시범단은 정통 태권도를 추구하는 동시에 세계 각국의 시범단원들과 함께 각국의 마샬아츠를 도입하여 새로운 시범형태를 추구하고 있기에 세계태권도연맹은 ‘세계태권도연맹시범단’이라 명칭을 정립해야 한다. 마지막으로 대한태권도협회 시범공연단은 2008년을 시작으로 시범공연을 위해서 창단하였으며, 정통 태권도 시범은 물론 태권도와 공연문화를 접목시켜 새로운 시범 문화를 정착시키고자, 국내외로 태권도의 우수성과 한국문화를 널리 알리고 있다. 특히 대한태권도협회는 자국을 대표하는 국가대표선수를 선발․육성하는 단체로써 매년 겨루기 선수와 품새 선수를 선발하고 있어 ‘국가대표’라는 공식명칭을 사용할 수 있는 태권도 유일의 단체이기도 하다. 따라서 대한태권도협회 시범공연단은 ‘국가대표태권도시범공연단’으로 명칭을 정립해야 한다.
