This study investigates the relationships of variables, multicultural sensitivity and multicultural beliefs and perceptions on multicultural education, and multicultural teaching efficacy as perceived by early childhood teachers. A structural equation model (SEM) was established and analyzed to estimate the path from multicultural sensitivity to multicultural efficacy with the mediating variables of mutlicultural beliefs and perceptions on multicultural education. The main results are: First, multicultural sensitivity showed a statistically significant impact on multicultural beliefs and multicultural efficacy, indicating the mediating effect of multicultural beliefs. In addition, multicultural sensitivity was found to influence multicultural efficacy directly. These findings imply that acquiring knowledge and experiential training in forming sound multicultural beliefs and multicultural sensitivity could significantly improve multicultural teaching efficacy.
