노후불안과 고령화 사회에 대한 불안 = Anxiety toward Later Life and Aging Society -Focused on the Association between Knowledge and Attitudes and Anxiety

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고령화에 대한 불안과 고령화에 대한 지식과 태도 사이의 연관성을 밝히려는 목적으로 수행되었다. 고령화에 대한 불안을 그 원인에 따라 노후불안이라는 미시적 차원과 고령화 사회에 대한 불안이라는 거시적 차원으로 구분하여 접근하였다. 할당표집을 통해 추출된 20세 이상의 성인남녀 1500명으로부터 자료를 수집했으며, 분산분석과 다중회귀분석을 통해 자료를 분석했다. 노후불안은 노인에 대한 지식이 낮을수록, 노인에 대한 태도가 부정적일수록 유의미하게 증가하는 반면, 고령화 사회에 대한 불안은 고령화 사회에 대한 지식이 높고, 고령화 사회에 대한 태도가 부정적일수록 유의미하게 증가했다. 끝으로 노인에 대한 바른 이해와 노인 및 고령화 사회에 대한 긍정적 태도형성을 통한 고령화 불안감소의 방안을 논의했다.

The purpose of the presented study was to investigate the association 1) between knowledge on and attitudes and anxiety toward later life, 2) between knowledge on and attitudes toward aging society and anxiety toward aging society. Data of 1500 aged over 20 drawn by allocated quota sampling were analyzed through Anova and Multiple regression. The level of anxiety of later life was highest among those who had lower knowledge and negative attitudes toward the aged. The level of anxiety of ageing society was highest among those who showed higher level of knowledge and negative attitudes toward aging society. Both knowledge on and attitudes toward later life and aging society were significantly associated with anxiety of later life and aging society.
