인성교육의 덕교육적 접근과 실천 원리에 관한 연구 = A Study on Virtue Education Approach and Practical Principles in Character Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Nowadays, as we know very well, Character education is a very important task in our education. But very different views are mixed about meaning of character and the practices of character education. This means that we have not enough theoretical-practical foundation of character education which is accepted publically, and also means that we need more systematic and consistent approach to the character education. So, in this paper, I wanted to inquire and suggest some desirable theoretical bases and practical ways to improve and strengthen the character education in our schools. To achieve this, I have tried to inquire about several things as follows. First, I tried to explain character and character education precisely based on the theory of virtue education approach. Second, for developing systematic character education model as a guide of character education, I discussed and explain the relation between key competencies of character and virtues. Third, I analyzed the actual situation and problems of character education that have been implemented in the current elementary schools and deliberated their meanings and the directions of improvement. And finally, based on those inquiries as above, I suggested some practical principles that are very important and essential to improve and develop our character education.
