Dewey의 반성적 사고 개념에서 본 반성적 교사의 특질 = The Characteristics of Reflective Teacher Based on Dewey`s Concept of Reflective Thinking

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the characteristics of reflective teacher based on Dewey`s concept of reflective thinking. For this purpose, at first I looked into minutely Dewey`s concept of reflctive thinking and its process or stage, and then abstracted the various characteristics of reflctive thinking. Lastly, I analogized the characteristics of reflective teacher from Dewey`s concept of reflctive thinking. The characteristics of reflective teacher analogized out of Dewey`s concept of reflctive thinking are as follows: various experience and knowledge, intelligent habit, continuous and relational thinking, goal-oriented thinking, an inquiring mind, spiralling thinking, open-minedness, wholeheartedness, intellectual responsibility, comprehensive and unifying thinking and democratic equipment such as communication and cooperation. In conclusion, we have to switch teacher education from transmitter and technician training oriented education to reflective teacher education to bring up teachers possessing these reflective characteristics.
