This study investigates paths among factors influencing life satisfaction of persons with disability using path analysis and the 7th wave of Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(PAED). While key independent variables include assets and employment status, self-esteem is a mediator. Findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, assets and employment status of persons with disability are found to have direct effect on self-esteem and life satisfaction. Second, we found not full but partial mediating effect of self-esteem between assets and life satisfaction as well as between employment status and life satisfaction. The key findings suggest that we need asset-building programs and financial literacy programs for persons with disability. In addition, the findings support employment enhancement programs for persons with disability. Considering self-esteem mediates the relationships between assets, employment status, and life satisfaction, we also think about programs influencing mental health of persons with disability including self-esteem. More attentions should be paid to asset-building, employment, and self-esteem to promote life satisfaction of persons with disability.
