다문화가족을 포용하기 위한 교회 공동체에 대한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

2016년 현재 한국에 거하고 있는 국내체류 외국인의 수는 약 180만 명으로 한국사회 전체 인구의 3.5%를 넘었다. 다문화 가족도 우리가 섬기고 함께 해야 할 이웃임에도 불구하고 한국교회는 다문화가족을 위한 관심과 섬김이 여전히 부족한 상태이다. 많은 복음적인 그리스도인들의 부각되는 실패들 중 하나는 예수가 보여주신 ‘성육신의 원리’를 등한시 했다는 점이다. 본 연구의 목적은 기독교 리더십의 관점에서, 다문화사회를 맞이한 한국교회가 다문화가족에 대한 기독교적 수용방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 다문화 가정이 있는 만큼 그 지역에 많은 교회가 있음에도 불구하고 한국교회는 다문화가정을 수용하기 위한 전략이 준비되어 있지 않은 상황이다. 본 연구는 다문화 가정을 포용하기에 적합한 교회공동체가 되기 위해서 준비해야 할 것이 무엇인지 연구하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 먼저 다문화 사회를 맞이하는 한국교회가다문화 가족을 포용하기 위해서 어떤 모습의 공동체가 되어야 하는지를 살펴보고, 지역교회가 다문화가정을 효과적으로 돕고 수용할 수 있는 다문화신앙공동체로 변화되기 위한 단계와 실천의 우선순위가 무엇인지를 연구할 것이다. 상주교회와 상주다문화가족지원센터를 통해 본 다문화 사역의 현장에서 들어본 가장 어려운 문제는 첫째, 언어와 종교적인문제, 둘째, 소수자에 해당하는 결혼이주여성들 간의 공동체성의 문제, 언어적 문제와 연결된 소수자 공동체를 이끌어줄 지도자문제로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 지역교회가 다문화 신앙공동체가 되기 위해서 따라야 할 변화를 위한 실천의 우선순위는 먼저 1) 다문화 가정을 향한 하나님의 주도권을 분별함으로 교회의 리더들은 하나님께서 지역사회와 다문화가정을 위해서 무엇을 행하고 계시는지 발견하고 그분의 일에 참여하려고 노력해야 한다. 2) 다문화 가정을 수단이 아닌 목적으로 대하는 전략과 사역을 세워나갈 필요가 있다. 다문화 가족과 함께 하는 신앙공동체가 지향해야 할 모습은 서로의 짐을 나눠지고, 서로에게 그리스도가 되는 공동체이다. 3) 언어적·인종적 한계를 넘어서 다름을 포용하고 환대하는 훈련을 할 수 있도록 신학적 비전(Theological Vision)을 올바로 세워 나가야 할 것이다. 4) 교회 내에서는 이를 위해서 다문화가정을 환영(welcoming)하고, 수용(acceptance)하고, 결속함(solidarity)으로 위임의 리더십을 통한 다문화 사역자를 세움으로 다음세대를 위한 다문화 신앙공동체를 준비해 주어야 한다. 한국의 교회 공동체가 세상의 빛과 소금이 될 수 있는 가장 좋은 방법은 다문화 가정까지 책임을 지는 행동을 통한 나눔과 섬김의 공동체가 되는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As of 2016, there are approximately 1.8 million foreign domestic residents in Korea, making up over3.5% of the population. Multicultural families are also our neighbors that we should serve and be together with. One of the noticeable failures of many Evangelical Christians is that they neglect the principle of the Incarnation that Jesus proved to us. The purpose of this research is to study the ecclesial community for the inclusion of multicultural families. From the perspective of Christian Leadership and upon greeting a multicultural society, the mission of the Korean church is to search for a Christlike way to embrace multicultural families. Although there are as many churches as there are multicultural families, the Korean church is not adequately equipped with the strategies to effectively include their foreign neighbors. The purpose of this research is to study the preparations necessary in order to become an ecclesial community suitable to embrace multicultural families. Therefore, in the face of a multicultural society, this study observes the kind of community that the Korean church must become in order to embrace multicultural families; it also studies the order of priority for a local church in fulfilling the effective transition to become a diverse community of believers that can effectively help and accommodate these families. According to the SangJu Multicultural Family Support Center, the most difficult problems in a multiethnic ministry are language and religious barriers to communication, the communal character of marginalized immigrant-spouse-women, and the missing bridge of leadership between the minority communities and the Korean church. Under these circumstances, for local churches to become a diverse community of believers, the steps to fulfilling an effective transition are: 1. Church leaders must distinguish God’s initiative toward multicultural families, to seek/find what God is doing for the families and the local community, so that it may take part in His plan. 2. It is important to set up a strategic mission to treat multicultural families as a purpose of its own rather than a mean. Adverse community of believers should aim to become a community in which people can share each other’s burdens and become Christ to one another. 3. Properly formulate a theological vision so that it may exercise tolerating and welcoming differences that overpasses linguistic and racial limits. 4. In the church, multicultural families should be welcomed, accommodated, and be united with. Also, prepare for the following generation of a diverse community of believers with a delegate in the lead. The best way for the Korean Christian community to be the light and the salt of the world is to become a community of giving and service that truly cares for struggling multicultural families.
