다문화사회와 언어교육정책 - 사회언어학적 관점에서 - = Multicultural Society and Language Education Policy - A Sociolinguistic Perspective -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the multicultural society and language education policy focused on a sociolinguistic perspective. Based on two sociolinguistic keywords, code-switching and verbal repertoire, and 2nd Multicultural Family Policy(2013~2017), five suggestions are provided for social interaction. (1) Bilingual or multilingual education is needed for migrants` multicompetence. (2) Language education that meets migrants` situations and needs is necessary. (3) Dialect education should be provided to migrants for sharing local culture. (4) Bottom-up language policy that the local community leads is necessary. (5) Local residents are responsible for social mood that respects different culture. Language education policy for social interaction could improve local residents` multicultural competency and enhance migrants` empowerment.
