This paper investigated the change of demographic composition of foreign immigrants and the residential segregation according to nationalities in Seoul. The proportion of the economically active population increased, and the size of the female population exceeded that of the male population. National origin was further intensified the displacement phenomenon of Chinese nationality. However, except for the Chinese nationality, the distribution of foreign nationality showed a tendency to distribute evenly. The chain migration phenomenon that happens in the process of settling did not occur in every foreign immigrant. It occurred in the Chinese nationality, Taiwan nationality, and Japanese nationality. In similarity analysis of the distribution of foreign immigrants, two dimensions were extracted. One is the degree of concentration in Yongsan-gu, the other is the degree of concentration in Seodaemun-gu and Mapo-gu. In Seoul, residential segregation based on nationality has weakened, but residential segregation of the Chinese nationality, Mongolian nationality, and French nationality has intensified. Residential segregation of foreign immigrants had some relationships with the level of economic development of national origin. So foreigners from developed countries tended not to separate their residential space with others.
