청소년의 외상 경험과 인지 변화에 관한 연구 = An Examination of the Relationship between Trauma Experience and Cognitive Changes in Adolescents

The purpose of this study was to examine the affect of trauma experience on the cognitive patterns in adolescents. Post-traumatic Diagnostic Scale and Posttraumatic Cognitions Inventory were administered to 536 high school students who participated in this study. Three groups were divided for the purpose of analysis : those who did not have any trauma and had no PTSD symptoms, those who had trauma experience but no symptoms, and those who had trauma experience and had moderate to high level of symptoms. The results showed that the group with PTSD symptoms had negative beliefs about self, negative beliefs about the world, and were more likely to blame themselves for the event. Interaction effect was also found with gender.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 인지적 사고 패턴이 청소년의 외상경험과 PTSD 증상 발현에 어떤 역할을 하는지를 알아보 는 것이다. 고등학교 2학년에 재학중인 남녀 학생 536 명 (남학생 251 명, 여학생 285 명)을 대상으로 외상경험 이 전혀 없고 PTSD 증상이 없는 집단, 외상경험은 있으나 PTSD 증상이 없는 집단, 그리고 외상경험이 있고 PTSD 증상이 있는 집단으로 분류하여 Posttraumatic Diagnostic Scale과 Posttraumatic Cognitions Inventory를 실시하여 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 PTSD 증상이 있는 집단은 그렇지 않은 집단들에 비해 자신에 대해 부정 적인 인식을 하고 있었고, 세상이 위험하고 신뢰롭지 못하다고 믿었으며, 부정적인 사건 경험이 자신으로 인해 비롯된 것으로 귀인하는 것으로 나타났으며 성별에 따른 상호작용 효과도 발견되었다.
