시설보호 청소년의 원가족 관계 경험이 심리사회적 적응에 미치는 영향 = The Influence of Original Family Relationship on Psychosocial Adaptation of Adolescent in Institutional Care

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 시설보호 청소년의 원가족^1) 관계 경험이 이들의 심리사회적 적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 시설보호 청소년은 원가족과 분리되어 시설에서 생활하는 동안 원가족과 물리적·심리적 단절을 경험한다. 또한 최근 들어 부모의 사망으로 고아가 되어 시설에 입소하는 경우보다 이혼, 학대와 같은 가족해체현상이 증가하면서 원가족과의 관계에서 많은 스트레스를 경험하고 해결되지 않은 갈등을 지닌 채 시설에 입소하는 아동이 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 시설보호 청소년이 경험하는 원가족 관계에 주목하여, 시설보호 이전·이후의 원가족 관계 경험과 심리사회적 적응과의 관련성을 알아보았다. 분석결과, 시설보호 이전의 부모-자녀 유대관계는 사회적 위축 및 우울·불안과 같은 심리정서문제에 영향을 미치며, 시설보호 이전에 경험한 원가족 관련 생활사건은 비행·공격성과 같은 행동문제에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 부모 접촉 횟수 및 형제가 함께 같은 시설에 배치되는 것은 심리사회적 적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 시설보호 청소년의 심리사회적 적응을 높이기 위한 사회복지실천에서 부모-자녀 관계 향상을 위한 프로그램이 개발될 필요가 있고 부정적인 생활사건을 경험하고 시설에 입소한 청소년에 대해 특별한 보호 계획이 수립되어야함을 보여준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study is to explain the influence of original family relationship on psychosocial adaptation of adolescents in institutional care. Recently, children who are placed in institutional care because of family disruption are increasing. This children have experienced many stressful events and are placed in institutional care with unfinished conflicts. In order to help adolescents in institutional care, original family relationship is needed to explore more deeply. The survey data was collected from 1,094 adolescents in 65 institutional care facilities. Descriptive statistics, Multiple regression are employed in order to analyze the data. Findings are as follows. First, perceived parent-children bonding are influential factors on psycho-emotional problem. Second, life events(such as divorce, maltreatment) are related to behavior problem. Last, parents contact, placement at the same institution with biological siblings are not related to psychosocial adaptation. In conclusion, this study confirms that even after placement, original family relationship consistently influence the well-being of adolescents. In order to improve adaptation of adolescents in institutional care, helping plan must be considered in context of original family relationship.
