부모의 학대 및 방임과 청소년의 학교생활적응과의 관계에서 공격성의 매개효과 = The Effects of Abuse and Neglect from Parents on Children’s School Adjustment: Mediating Effect of Aggression

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of parental abuse and neglect to adolescents’ school adjustment, and the mediation effect of aggression between them. The study uses second-year data from ‘Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2011(KCYPS)’, and analyzes 2,107 second-year of middle school students. To examine the mediation effect, the study uses structural equation, and the findings are presented as follows. First, parental neglect significantly affects adolescents' school adjustment. However, parental abuse does not influence their school adjustment directly. Second, the higher parental abuse and neglect, aggression of adolescents goes higher. Third, aggression is a partial mediator on the effect from parental abuse and neglect to adolescents’school adjustment. From these findings, social work interventions about preventing parental abuse and neglect, supporting the adolescents’ school adjustment, and lowering their aggression are suggested.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 부모의 학대 및 방임이 청소년의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 학대 및 방임과 학교생활적응과의 관계에서 공격성의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 ‘한국아동・청소년패널조사(KCYPS)’2차년도(2011) 데이터를 활용하여 중학교 2학년 총 2,107명을 최종 분석하였다. 매개효과 검증을 위해 구조방정식 모형을 활용한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 방임이 심각할수록 청소년의 학교생활적응 정도는 낮아지는 것으로 나타났고, 부모의 학대는 청소년의 학교생활적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 학대 및 방임 수준이 높을수록 청소년의 공격성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 학대 및 방임과 청소년의 학교생활적응과의 관계에서 공격성은 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 부모의 학대 및 방임을 예방하고, 청소년의 학교생활적응을 지원하며, 공격성을 낮추기 위한 사회복지 실천적, 정책적 개입 방안을 제시하였다.
