부모의 양육태도와 청소년의 공격성 및 폭력행동과의 관계 = Mediating Effect of Aggression on the Relationship between Parenting Practice and Violent Behaviors in Adolescent

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research was to examine the mediating effects of aggression on the relationship between parenting practice and parent abuse and school violence in adolescent. To test this, 482 students were sampled from third grade in middle to first grade in high school in Seoul. Among them, 25.2% students answered that they had used verbal or physical violence toward their parent and 63.7% students had used violence in school for last one year.
Adolescent's reports of parental rejection was positively related to their aggression and adolescents who perceived higher level of parental rejection reported more being involved in parent abuse and school violence. In examining the mediating effects of aggression, partial mediation for parenting practice on parent abuse was determined, as well as complete mediation for parenting practice on school violence. Based on these findings, the research discussion extended to the implication of an invention that decrease the violent behaviors in adolescents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 청소년의 폭력행동 중 부모폭력과 학교폭력을 중심으로 부모의 양육태도와의 관계를 살펴보고 공격성의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 서울에서 재학 중인 중학교 3학년과 고등학교 1학년 남녀 학생을 대상으로 분석한 결과 지난 1년간 부모에게 언어적 또는 신체적으로 한 번 이상 폭력을 행사한 청소년은 전체 조사대상자의 25.2%, 학교폭력은 63.7%로 나타났다. 부모의 양육태도와 청소년 자녀의 폭력행동과의 관계에서는 부모의 양육태도가 거부적이라고 인지하는 청소년들이 부모폭력과 학교폭력을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 공격성의 매개효과를 검증한 결과 부모의 양육태도는 부모폭력에 직접적, 그리고 공격성을 매개로 하여 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 부분매개효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 또한 부모의 양육태도와 공격성의 두 변수 중에서는 부모의 양육태도가 청소년의 부모폭력에 더 큰 영향력을 가진 변수로 나타났다. 부모 양육태도와 학교폭력의 관계에서의 공격성의 매개효과 검증에서는 부모 양육태도의 직접 영향력은 없었고 공격성을 매개로 한 영향력만이 유의하게 나타나 공격성이 완전매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 결과를 바탕으로 청소년들의 폭력행동을 감소시키기 위한 실천적 개입 방향을 제언하였다.
