가정외보호 청소년의 부정적 사건 경험이 우울 및 불안에 미치는 영향과 보호요인의 조절효과 = The relation between traumatic life events and depression and anxiety of adolescents in out-of home care: The moderating effects of protective factors

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of the study is to investigate the experiences of negative life events of adolescents in out-of-home care using life event method, and to analyse the effects of the experiences on the level of depression and anxiety of the adolescents. In addition, the study explored that self esteem, caregiver monitoring, positive relationship with friends, and social support had moderating effects as protective factors. For these purposes, the survey was conducted on the cluster sample of 494 adolescents who were living in residential facilities, group homes, or foster homes. The data were analyzed using χ2-test, ANOVA, multiple regression analysis, and pick-a-point method to explore the patterns of interaction. The main study results were as follows: the adolescents experienced three kinds of negative events in average; and the experiences of traumatic events showed significant effects on the level of depression and anxiety. Self esteem and caregiver monitoring showed moderating effects that suppressed the negative effects of experiencing traumatic event. Based on the results, practice implication for youth in out-of-home care was discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구 목적은 생활사건방법(life event method)을 통해 시설, 그룹홈, 가정위탁에서 성장하는 청소년들이 과거 부정적인 외상 사건을 얼마나 경험하였는지, 그 경험이 현재의 우울 및 불안수준에 영향을 미치는지 분석하는 것이다. 레질리언스 이론을 바탕으로 청소년 개인의 특성(자아존중감), 양육자관계 요인, 가족 외부의 지지적 요인(긍정적 친구관계, 사회적 지지)을 보호요인으로 설정하여 이들 요인이 외상 사건 경험의 부정적 효과를 감소시키는 조절변수로 작용하는지 탐색하였다.
연구방법은 전국의 아동양육시설, 그룹홈, 가정위탁지원센터를 표집단위로 하는 군집표집 방식을 통하여 12세 청소년 494명을 표집하였으며, 그들을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석방법으로 일원변량분석, χ2검증, 다중회귀분석, 그리고 상호작용효과의 패턴분석을 위한 pick-a-point 방법을 활용하였다. 주요 연구 결과로는 청소년들의 다양한 부정적 외상사건 경험과 청소년의 우울 및 불안에 대한 유의미한 영향을 들 수 있다. 보호요인과 관련하여 자아존중감과 양육자 모니터링이 외상 사건 경험의 부정적 영향을 완충하는 조절효과가 있는 것으로 드러났다. 이 결과를 토대로 청소년복지의 임상적, 정책적 함의를 논의하였다.
