사회적 지지가 지역아동센터 이용 빈곤아동의 학교적응에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Social Support to School Adjustment of the Poor Children in using Community Child Centers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 지역사회로부터의 사회적 지지 경험이 빈곤아동의 학업성취 및 학교적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하고자 하였으며, 또한 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 요인인 가족지지, 교사지지, 친구지지에 대한 인식 정도와 사회적 지지의 상관관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경남지역의 9개 지역아동센터를 이용하고 있는 초등학교 3-6학년 120명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 가족유형, 지역아동센터 교사에 대한 만족도가 사회적회 지지에 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 사회적 지지 여부는 가족, 교사, 또래 지지인식 여부에 모두 영향을 주었다. 또한 학업성취와 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 가족유형, 친구지지, 교사지지, 지역아동센터 교사에 대한 만족도, 지역아동센터 이용경험 등으로 나타났다. 따라서 비양친가정의 아동들에게 다양한 사회복지서비스를 제공하며 보다 많은 아동들이 지역아동센터를 이용할 수 있도록 함과 동시에 지역아동센터 교사의 수준을 향상시켜 양질의 서비스를 아동들에게 제공할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. 이와 함께 학교교사들이 빈곤아동의 특성을 이해하여 이들에 대한 지지원으로서의 역할을 할 수 있도록 교사교육 프로그램을 실시하고 빈곤아동의 사회적 지지원을 광범위하게 확보하여 사회적 지지를 강화해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study purposed to examine what effect experience in support from community has on poor children’s academic achievement and school adjustment, and to analyze the correlation between social support and children’s perception of family support, teacher support and peer support, which are factors influencing their school adjustment. For this purpose, we conducted a questionnaire survey with 120 third‐sixth graders who were using one of 9 community child centers in Gyeongsangnamdo. According to the results, family type and satisfaction with teachers at the community child center had an effect on social support, and the presence of social support had an effect on the children’s perception of family, teacher and peer support. Furthermore, academic achievement and school adjustment were influenced by family type, peer support, teacher support, satisfaction with teachers at the community child center, experience in the use of community child center, etc. Accordingly, it is necessary to provide various social welfare services to children at non‐two‐parent families and to induce more of them to use the community child center, and at the same time, to enhance the quality of community child center teachers for providing high‐quality services to children. What is more, teacher education programs should be executed so that school teachers may understand the characteristics of poor children and play their role as a source of support to such children, and social support should be strengthened by securing sources of social support extensively.
