청소년의 사회참여활동이 시민성에 영향을 미치는 경로 - 사회참여의식, 사회적 신뢰, 친사회성의 매개효과를 중심으로 - = A path analysis of social participation activity of youth influencing on citizenship Mediation of social participation attitude, prosociality, and social trust.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Many studies have theorized that social participation activities promote development of positive citizenship identity. Purpose of this study is to analysis process which social participation activity of youth influences on citizenship. Preceding studies about relation social participation with citizenship have been reviewed and 524 adolescents using a community child center have participated in the survey. There are five latent variable in this study. Five latent variable is social participation activity, social participation attitude, prosociality, and social trust, and citizenship. Results demonstrate that social participation activity of youth has not a directly influence on citizenship. Social participation activity of youth influences on citizenship through process variable such as social participation attitude, prosociality, and social trust. Finding from this study suggest that engaging youth in civic activities through development of various social participation program and systemic training of youth leader.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년의 올바른 시민성 증진을 위한 정책적 함의를 도출하고자 청소년의 사회참여활동이 어떤 경로와 과정을 통해 시민성 형성에 영향을 미치는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 사회참여활동은 사회참여의식을 매개로 하여 시민성에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 사회참여활동이 많을수록 청소년의 시민성도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 사회참여의식은 시민성에 직접적인 정의 영향을 미칠뿐만 아니라 친사회성이나 사회적 신뢰감을 매개로 하여 시민성에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 사회참여활동은 사회적 신뢰감이 아닌 친사회성이라고 하는 사회적 관계의 향상을 매개한 사회적 신뢰감을 통해 시민성의 형성에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 결과분석결과를 토대로, 본 연구는 정규수업을 이용한 사회참여활동 프로그램의 개발, 청소년수련관이나 청소년문화의집 등 지역사회자원을 매개로 한 사회참여활동의 다양화, 그리고 청소년 지도자에 대한 체계적인 교육 등을 대안으로 제시했다.
