This study conducted its investigation targeting the 4th and 7th grade students at elementary school and middle school respectively to understand how the gender, the grade, the parenting environment, the school adaptation and the ego-resilience affect life satisfaction of adolescent. In order to achieve the research goal, This study used the data from the first wave of Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) by National Youth Policy Institute to carry out the independent two samples t-test, the correlation analysis and the stepwise regression analysis. The findings of the analyses said that in terms of a factor that has the greatest influence on the adolescents`` life satisfaction, of all those sub-factors of the parenting environment, the parental affection`` rational explanation was determined to be the most influential followed by the ego-resilience and the peer relation of an individual adolescent. This study also confirmed that the coefficient of determination of the model is 36.1%. This study suggested that if any relevant fields want to design programs to improve the adolescents`` satisfaction with their lives, they should, first, know that they need to develop not only these programs for parents which would enhance the parental affection`` rational explanation but also, simultaneously, other programs for the adolescents to bring the adolescents`` ego-resilience and friendly relations with peers to a higher level.
