예비영어교사들의 수업능력 신장을 위한 과정중심 지도방안

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed at devising the process-based teaching model for developing pre-service English teachers’ teaching expertise through microteaching and exploring their perceptions on the program. The program was devised on the basis of literature review during the second semester of 2015. The participants for this study were 20 students majoring in English education who enrolled a course on English teaching methodology at a university in Seoul, Korea in the first semester of 2016. They were invited to participate in the developed program for 15 weeks in the semester and to answer the questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview on the last week. The results were as follows; 1) The program was designed to consist of three steps which were ‘foundation step’, ‘planning step’, and ‘performing/microteaching step’. The process-based program led the learners to be taught theoretical concepts, develop a lesson plan and revise it on the basis of teacher feedback, and do microteaching with the revised lesson plan followed by teacher, self- and peer feedback. From the survey and interview, it was found that the participants perceived the program as useful and conducive to developing their teaching expertise and that as for classroom activities in the program, they had a preference to specific guideline, teacher feedback, the observation of exemplary microteaching video clip, and reflective self-assessment
