청소년상담사의 역량모형 개발을 위한 델파이 연구 = A Delphi Study : Development of a Competency Model for Youth Counselors

Youth counselors are recognized as one of the important occupations as they play an influential role in resolving psychological and emotional difficulties. The purpose of this study is to explore the competency model of youth counselors. The study was conducted in the following process. First, the conceptual model of youth counselor competency was developed through reviewing previous studies, conducting preliminary interviews with youth counselors, and then undertaking further questionnaires with open and closed questions. Next, three Delphi surveys were undertaken involving the expert panel of 31 youth counselors to examine the validity of the competency model. The data analysis in this study was based on statistical approach using content validity ratio. The study results showed that the established competency model consists of 6 competency clusters and 21 competency factors, and that among the competency clusters, counseling competency was identified as most important and general competency and education competency were second-most important. This study can be useful for conceptualizing the expert competency in different fields of counseling, including youth counseling. Furthermore, the competency model of youth counselors developed in this study can be utilized as important references for setting the professional qualification standards for counselors and developing and revising educational curriculum for fostering professional counselors.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

청소년상담사는 청소년들의 심리 · 정서적 어려움을 해결하는데 매우 직접적 영향을 주는 역할로 중요하게 인식해야 할 직업군 중 하나이다. 이에 본 연구는 청소년상담사의 역 량 모형을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 선행문헌, 전문가 면담, 상담전문가 설문조 사 등을 통해 청소년상담사 역량에 관한 개념 모형을 구축하고, 역량 개념 모형의 내용 타당성을 검토하기 위하여 31명의 청소년 상담 전문가 패널을 대상으로 3회에 걸친 델 파이 조사를 시행하였다. 연구결과, 확정된 청소년상담사 역량 모형은 6개의 역량군, 21 개의 역량으로 구성되었다. 평균과 Content Validity Ratio(CVR)을 기준으로 분석한 결 과 ‘상담 역량군’을 가장 중요시하였으며, 그다음으로는 ‘일반 역량군’, ‘교육 역량군’을 중요시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 청소년상담사를 포함한 여타 다양한 상담 영역의 전문가 역량을 개념화하는 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 본 연구에서 제안한 청 소년상담사의 역량모형은 상담영역의 전문가 자격기준을 수립하거나 전문가 양성을 위 한 교육과정을 수립하고 개편하는 데 중요한 참조자료로도 활용될 것으로 기대한다
