Development of new technologies has brought a revolutionary change in the building industry. In particular, from the mid 1990s till the early 2000s, computer played a key role in realizing new formal experimentation in architectural design that had not been possible in the past. From the mid 2000s, the global recession and the concern about the environmental issues lead to plan for lowering building`s energy consumption and carbon emissions from the initial design process using various simulation software. In recent years, due to the increased data processing speed of the computer, `Data Mining`has been actively utilized in various fields of research. This study investigated the changes caused by computation in the architectural field through the analysis of various case studies and proposed methodology for architectural design that can collect and analyze various data pertaining to project. Demographics, views, unit types, user preferences are collected and analyzed to generate optimized architectural design through computation process using Grasshopper, Processing and Python. This paper discuss to seek to the applicability of the potential feasibility of computation for future design process.
