개신교 목회자의 다문화교육 태도에 관한 연구 - 수도권을 중심으로 - = A Study of an Attitude on the Multicultural Education of Protestant Ministers - Focusing on Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Incheon -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was researched that through analyzing the attitudes of the Protestant ministers on the multicultural education, what is the awareness of the multicultural education to the Protestant ministers living in multicutural and multiple religious society in Korea. This study was based on integrative method. The results of the The analyzed results which were revealed through a survey and in-depth interview of the protestant ministers on the multicultural education are as follows: First, the Protestant minister seemed to have positive attitudes about the definition of the multicultural education. However, it is necessary for some ministers to improve their attitudes about the multicultural education. Second, the Protestant ministers were operating only a few programs about the multicultural education at their churches. It proved that they needed to develop a means of improving the multicultural education at the church. Third, to perform successfully the multicultural education, the results proved that the protestant ministers were required to the development of the multicultural education programs, the change of ministers` awareness, understanding, attention, acceptance, financial assistance, and development of the multicultural education experts. The multicultural education is consistent with the spirit of the Bible. Jesus treated all the people as equals without discriminating men from women and distinguishing class, status, and race. These days, under the multicultural situation, what South Korea requires is Jesus` multicultural competence.
