全南 南海岸과 濟州道 新石器土器의 接觸과 展開 樣相 = The Explanation of the Neolithic Potteries on the basis of a Spatial Distribution Pattern

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현재까지 한반도 남해안 도서와 마주하고 있는 제주도에서 신석기시대 유적이 확인된 곳은 약 40여개소에 이른다. 이들 유적은 대체로 한반도 남해안 신석기시대 토기의 편년과 맥락을 같이하며, 제주도라는 고립된 지리적 여건이 반영된 양상도 함께 나타난다. 본고에서는 제주도와 지리적으로 가까운 전남 남해안 지역의 신석기시대 유적과 해로를 통해서 이루어지는 양지역 접촉가능성을 토기를 통해 파악하였다. 또한 고대 해로의 역추적과 테우에 의한 제주해협 도항의 예를 통해 신석기시대 제주도와 전남 남해안은 충분히 접촉이 가능했었던 것으로 판단하였다. 이러한 예는 전남 남해안의 외해에 위치한 여서도나 거문도, 가거도 등에서 출토되는 토기편의 유사성과 태토에 현무암 모래가 혼입된 예를 통해서도 알 수 있다.
한편 전남 남해안과 제주도내에서 중기 선석기 단계가 빈약하면서 오히려 한반도 남부 내륙으로 확산되는 현상을 필자는 기후 온난화와 해수면 상승효과에 따른 생업환경의 변화일 가능성을제시했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the light of recent archaeological studies have yield more sophisticated Neolithic data in Jeju-Do; in total about 40 find-spots have been researched until recently. The artefacts from this region share some significant characteristic features with those from the southern part of mainland Korea. The author discusses a plausible hypothesis about inter-regional contact with the artefacts themselves and the mean of transportation.
Various archaeological data can be applied to this matter. It can be explained by not only the typological sense, but also the inclusion in the pottery clay. An incorporated pot-temper from Jeju-Do is quite identified with those from Yoseo-Do, Komoon-Do and Gageo-Do that belong to Jeonlanam-Do costal area. Also an experimented voyage with a reconstructed shipping craft allows to give an in-depth possibility of the contact between two regions.
In additions, the dynamic process of the Middle Neolithic period is likely to be explained by altering subsistence strategy which was caused by rising sea-level.
