초등체육에서 반성적 멘토링 모형의 실천 가능성 탐색 = Exploring the Possibility of Application of Reflective Mentoring Model for Elementary Physical Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근에 교사교육에 대한 멘토링 연구가 유아교육에서부터 시작하여 서서히 초, 중등교육에 이르기까지 교사의 전문능력 개발을 추구하는 교사교육의 한 가지 방법으로 제시되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 시대적 흐름에 부응하면서 초등체육수업의 교수방법개선과 신임교사의 전문능력의 제고를 위하여 반성적 멘토링 모형의 개발과 그 실천 가능성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 지금까지 현직교사교육의 시스템으로는 신임교사의 체육수업에 대한 교수방법의 개선과 자기수업에 대한 성찰과정을 이끌어 내는데 한계가 있다고 보고 현직교사교육의 한가지 대안으로서 멘토링 모형을 탐색하면서 동시에 현장에 적용해보는 실천적 연구의 필요성을 느꼈다. 다시 말하자면 이론을 탐구하는 실천가로서, 실천하는 이론가로서의 두 측면을 통합적으로 구현함으로써 action research의 지향하는 바를 충실히 따르고자 노력하였다. 그 결과 반성적 사고를 철학적인 토대로 하는 멘토링 모형의 개발을 위한 이론적인 탐색을 시도하였으며 새로운 모형을 현장에 적용하는 실천연구의 과정을 거쳤다. 무엇보다도 본 연구는 실천연구의 과정을 따랐으며 이론에서 실천으로의 적용, 실천에서 이론으로의 탐색과정을 토대로 하여 멘토링 모형을 개발하고자 노력하였다. 특히 멘토(연구자)의 멘토링에 대한 의식의 변화와 체육수업방법개선에 대한 멘티와의 공조 분위기는 본 멘토링 모형의 실천 가능성을 보여준다고 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, it is noticed that mentoring is one of the ways to support novice teachers. The purpose of this study was to examine current mentoring models and explore the possibility of application of a reflective mentoring model for elementary physical education. It is identified that in teacher education program organization and implementation, no directionality is found, no structural system is employed, and no independence is thought. There is little evidence that the inservice programs have clear goals, theoretically sound structure, and grasp of teacher`s willingness to be a professional. These problems have spread far and wide in school cultures. In order to overcome them, mentoring for elementary physical education has been planned, designed and conducted for five months. This study was based on reflecting on Schon, 2 beginning teachers` assistance and using the methods of action research. Founded on these help, a reflective mentoring model has been developed. In this model, three dimensions of mentoring were developed through meeting with 2 mentees. The aspects of their consciousness, relationship, and win-win situation were continually improved in three stages of planning, action, and reflection throughout mentoring process.
