내재적 종교성향과 역경후성장의 관계: 감사성향과 사건중심성의 매개효과 = The Relationship between Intrinsic Religious Orientation and Posttraumatic Growth: the Mediating Effects of Gratitude and Event Centrality

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present study investigated whether gratitude and event centrality mediates the relationship between intrinsic religious orientation and posttraumatic growth. Three hundred and twenty-two Christians living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do participated in the study and completed the battery of measures including Religious Orientation Scale, Gratitude Questionnaire, Centrality of Event Scale and Post-traumatic Growth Inventory. The test was conducted using a Structural Equation Modeling(SEM). The results indicate that gratitude and event centrality mediates partially the relationship between intrinsic religious orientation and posttraumatic growth. These findings suggest that mature religiosity is very important factor for posttraumatic growth, and in the process gratitude and event centrality play a positive role. In the end, the limitation of this study and suggestions for following studies were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 내재적 종교성향과 역경후성장과의 관계에서 감사성향과 사건중심성이 매개 역할을 하는지 확인해보고자 수행되었다. 이 연구를 위해 서울 및 경기도에 거주하는 개신교 신자와 천주교 신자 322명이 내재적 종교성향, 감사성향, 사건중심성, 역경후성장 척도와 역경경험 질문지에 응답하였고, 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형을 통해 매개효과가 검증되었다. 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 내재적 종교성향과 역경후성장과의 관계에서 감사성향과 사건중심성이 부분매개의 역할을 한다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 성숙한 종교심이 역경후성장에 이르는 중요한 요인이며, 그 과정에서 개인의 감사성향과 그 사건을 자신의 중요한 부분으로 받아들이는 것이 긍정적인 역할을 함을 조명할 수 있었다는 데서 의의가 있다. 끝으로 본 연구의 한계점과 추후 연구에 대한 제안점이 논의되었다.
