역량기반 교육의 교육과정사적 기반 및 자유교육적 성격 탐색 = Curricular-historical base and its Liberal nature of competence-based education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, competence-based education is appearing as an official agenda for the national curriculum reform in many countries. However, much confusion exists over the concept of the word competence, as it is currently being used in ordinary educational discourse, policy, and practice. Misuse of the terminology will be able to distort the nature of the education. This study is to explore curricular-historical base and its liberal nature of competence-based education by taking the holistic conceptualization of competence. In order to obtain this aim, I attempted to review the competence movement and its variations in the historical context. And then I discussed that competence-based education could be a way of renewing our thought about the nature of liberal education by exploring its liberal nature.
