초등학교 중학년 교과서의 진로 교육 내용 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 교과서에 진로교육 내용이 어떻게 나타나 있는지를 분석하여 진로교육 내용 개선의 시사점을 찾는데 있다. 이를 위하여 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 3, 4학년 국어, 도덕, 사회 교과서와 지도서를 대상으로 교육부(2012)가 개발한 ‘초등학교 진로교육 세부목표 및 성취지표’를 분석 준거로 하여 진로교육 내용을 분 석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 3, 4학년 국어 교과서에는 126시간의 진로교육 관련 내용이 나타나 있다. 특히 ‘대인관계 및 의사소통 역량 개발’, ‘자아 이해 및 긍정적인 자아 개념 형성’ 영역이 가장 강조되고 있다. 둘째, 3, 4학년 도덕 교과서에는 57시간의 진로교육 관련 내용이 나타나 있으며 ‘자아 이해와 사회적 역량 개발’ 영역이 가장 강조되고 있다. 셋 째, 3, 4학년 사회 교과서에는 102시간의 진로교육 내용이 나타나 있으며 국어, 도덕 교과와 달리 ‘일과 직업세계의 이해’ 영역, ‘진로탐색’ 영역이 강조되고 있다. 결론적으로 3, 4학년 국어, 도덕, 사회교과서에는 진로교육 내용이 대부분의 영역에 많이 나타나 있다. 그러나 ‘교 육 기회의 탐색’과 ‘진로계획과 준비’에 관한 내용이 거의 없고 학년에 따른 지도영역과 시 간에 편차가 크다. 내용면에서도 직업가치관이나 성역할에 대한 고정관념, 의사결정에 대한 내용이 체계적이고 지속적으로 반영되도록 개선이 필요하였다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 다양 한 논의와 함의가 서술되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to figure out implications and significance of the improvement in contents of career education. In order to achieve the research goals, the study looked into how much of the career education contents have been dealt with in these Korean, Moral Education and Social Studies textbooks of the ‘2009 revised curriculums that would target in the third and the fourth grade. The results of this study were summarized as follows. First, a total of 126 career education contents were published in the Korean textbooks in the third and the fourth grades. In particular, the study confirms that these categories such as ‘how to cultivate interpersonal relations and communication competency’ and ‘how to understand yourself and how to form positive beliefs in yourself’ are most emphasized. Second, a total of 57 career education contents were published in the Moral Education textbooks in the third and the fourth grades. In particular, the study confirms that these categories such as ‘how to understand yourself and how to form positive beliefs in yourself’ are most emphasized. Third, a total of 102 career education contents were published in the Moral Education textbooks in the third and the fourth grades. but, what is different about the Social Studies textbooks from the Korean and the Moral Education textbooks is that the Social Studies textbooks emphasize these categories of ‘understanding the world of career and occupations’ and ‘career exploration’. In conclusion, I discussed the implications and limitations of elementary school career education in this research.
