체육교육 실천공동체의 의미 탐색 및 연구동향 = Exploring Meaning and Research Trends of Communities of Practice in Physical Education

The objective of the study is two-fold. First, it explored the voluntary community of practices to understand their structure. Second, it investigated the relevant research on community of practices to understand the trend of research on communities of practices. The review of literature on community of practices resulted in several valuable findings. First, although many researchers definedcommunity of practices, a common ground can be found in that they are formed on a voluntary basis and the communities are mainly for sharing knowledge and experiences. Also, it was found that the characteristics of such communities are reciprocal, joint assets, and group work. The current trends of research are found in expertise development, formation of community of practices, meaning and utility of on-line communities. Also, recommendations for future study are provided.
