Continued rapid change m the world of work and m the relationship between individuals and work appears likely m the late 1990s and early 2000s. Technological modernization and other factors are modifying what people do at work, how and where people work, and in many cases how long they continue doing whatever they do. More people believe work can and should be meaningful and satisfying, and that planning can make that more likely to occur. The changing complexity of work makes occupational choice more difficult and probably more frequent. Therefore, career information service in career education has become more important than ever. The purpose of this research is to find and to teach the foundations of career information, its organization, and how it can be used, so that the student can understand how people relate to work, how the career information is structured, what materials describing work exists, and how they can be organized and applied. The contents of this research are divided into six sections : the aims of the research and method, career education and career information, career information service, scope of career information, career resource center and the materials of career information. This background of theoretical research is included to facilitate understanding of how people relate to work and the importance of that relationship in their lives. The practical aspect of career information prepares the students with the specific knowledge necessary to find, organize, and use career information materials to assist clients or students in various stage of career development and in various setting.
